Every now and then I think about how when Misha Collins was cast to play a completely new species of creature on SPN, he decided to make some bold character choices (the voice, the staring and personal space thing, etc) because he wanted to make sure the angels were different from humans (and he was originally only going to be there for like four episodes and wasn’t thinking long term commitments to character choices)

And then no one else who played an angel did the same thing

I mean, it gave us the amazing autistic gay angel with an iconic voice that we all love, but like. Did he run his plans by any of the writers or even other angel actors? I know Ackles was surprised but did Collins have a conversation with Wisdom and McNiven only for them to go “no”? Was there ever a formal conversation where anyone went “yeah this is just gonna be a your guy thing”

Can you imagine coming in to do some temp work, suddenly have the temp work become a (horrifyingly insecure) long term job, and the wild choices you made when you thought you were only gonna be there for a week were suddenly permanent, and everyone else in the same position as you goes “we aren’t gonna do that” even though your wild choices specifically were to fit the position, and it’s too late for you to make different choices or to change?

To be clear, what colonizers did to Native Americans wasn't "attempted" genocide. It was and is genocide. It was only roughly a year and a half ago the US and Canada found mass graves of Native children from assimilationist residential schools. Native women are 3 to 3½ times more likely than other women to be the victims of violent crimes, the violent crimes are more likely to be more severe, and their missing person cases are more likely to be ignored by investigators in both the US and Canada. Downplaying what white people have done to Native Americans as "attempted" genocide is not only deeply uneducated, but fucking disgusting. And to follow that up with declaring he doesn't support land back because he thinks that means kicking out white people is just racist, full stop. Like, it's a literal strawman argument racists made up to justify not supporting land back movements.

So, yeah, dude denied not one, but two genocides in the same day and we shouldn't ever let people forget that.

Well, I’m annoyed. The show deserves better. It had a solid plot, excellent cast, fantastic representation, beautiful cinematography, and a lovely team beings it. They all deserved better. And Misha deserves better. He’s a good actor, he’s got range, and according to everyone is a joy to work with.

I don’t understand why the CW makes the choices it makes. I have no idea how it works, granted, but I haven’t seen any clear explanation either. Wrong timing, I suppose. Still, quite shitty. I wish it were different.

I hope that the GK team has a wonderful future. They deserve it.

First of all thank you all so so much for the birthday wishes, it meant a lot to me especially with the continuous support this past year 🥺🫶

Here are two commissions I did for the lovely @7isaprimenumbr my bestest bestie!! <3 I opened emergency commissions to cover the vet fees of my very sick cat so I’m forever grateful for the trust and for Sheeran (my cat) 🥺🫶

And thanks to my bestie for the creative freedom on these pieces!! For the Vipin and Jeremy one I wanted to work on a pride piece hence Jeremy drawn in the aroace flag colours and Vipin in the pan flag colours 🫶

To anyone saying there "isn't a strong *renew Gotham Knights* push going on right now" - sorry, but that's bs. And yes, I saw that heller-🐚 anon post on here.

The reason that Natalie, Chad, and James(the GK showrunners) cannot promo nor tweet a renew GK push is due to the writers strike. Natalie has also mentioned that in an insta story as well.

However, costume designer Jennifer May Nickel and Tyler DiChiara started the renew GK push themselves. And being the absolute amazing humans they are, they included save the winchesters when they were not obligated to do so. Jennifer could have made her campaign and art about Gotham Knights and left it at that, but she didn't. They had #RenewGothamKnights tag trending and kept the The Winchesters tag going on Sunday. Even Tyler's boyfriend who is also on the GK crew got in on it and tweeted. And the other GK cast were retweeting and liking.

Not surprised seeing as they all work with a person who always puts others ahead of himself. Even when his friends don't return the sentiment. Speaking of Misha, pretty sure when Jennifer let him know of what her and the GK fans were doing for GK and TW that's when he shared her art with both the tags. His tweet bumped the already trending Renew Gotham Knights to a higher trending on Entertainment twitter all day today.

Lastly, Misha(and the other spn alumns) posted save TW because it's about their spn family they want to help. Again they don't have to, but they're all friends. Misha especially has a history of always helping promo J's projects without looking for anything in return(and rarely if ever reciprocated). So much so, that people in the fandom expect it from him( constantly @ him on twitter or post "why isn't Misha saying anything?") yet the fandom never expect the same from Jensen in the reverse.
